The Largest Private Label Brands Meet in Amsterdam

With a history spanning more than 37 years, the PLMA "World of Private Label" International Trade Show remains one of the most prestigious commercial events in 2025.

It is no wonder that the Agricultural Marketing Centre has been operating its joint pavilion at full capacity for years; in fact, companies are placed on a waiting list immediately following the previous exhibition just to ensure their spot in Amsterdam.

The expansion of private label products is outstanding worldwide: in several European countries, these products have already achieved a market share of over 40%, and they exceed 30% in nine additional countries. They also maintained their strong market position during the pandemic, thanks to their competitive pricing and improving quality.

This year, the Agricultural Marketing Centre is operating a 174-square-meter joint pavilion where 20 Hungarian food industry enterprises are presenting themselves to an international audience. The exhibition places special emphasis on the AMC's export development branch, the Hungarian Food Business Program, which, among other activities, registers buyers interested in Hungarian products into the program's online system.

The majority of the Hungarian exhibitors participate in the event year after year. Once again, the product palette is highly diverse: professional visitors can expand their product portfolios for retail chains and stores with items such as smoked meat products, dry pasta, canned goods and preserves, frozen fruits and vegetables, oat bars, mueslis, and biscuits.

The statistics from the 2024 exhibition clearly reflect the significance of the event: 2,961 exhibitors and 18,000 professional visitors attended, further strengthening PLMA's position in the international trade show calendar. The PLMA exhibition provides space in separate pavilions for food manufacturing companies and non-food product manufacturers. The product categories on display cover an extremely wide spectrum, including fresh and frozen foods, dry goods and beverages, cosmetics, health and beauty products, household and kitchenware, car care products, and gardening items.

During the exhibition, the joint pavilion was visited by Dániel Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck, Hungary's Ambassador to the Netherlands, and Edit Pápai, Economic Attaché.
